a little about me

I live in small town Texas and have been writing poetry for about four years. My three amazing children have entered adulthood, and my husband and I are empty-nesting.

As an career-long English teacher, I’ve graded more essays and poems than I’ve written, but more recently, time has gifted me with a few extra hours to pursue my own writing. The surprise has been the form. I love writing poetry!

I join my fellow writers in sharing poems that inspire, challenge, encourage, and redeem our long journeys toward living hope. These verses seek to make connections between the seen and the unseen, and it’s in writing them, that I’ve found that both really matter. I pray that the words that appear on this screen will find their way into your heart.
